Re: Burr Brown Ed - I agree with you in principle, using all of a special cap doesn't a pedal make (check out the cap discussions on the Amp boards!  ) but you can always compensate in other areas. A bit of drive with some high end rolloff is where alot of "warmth" is created.
But then you twist your amp's EQ and screw it all up.
