Rats. Which one?

| Chris | Rats. Which one? I'm interested in getting a Rat pedal, just for a bit of tonal variety. I've read many of the reviews on Harmony Central, but I'm still not clear as to which model is considered the 'best' (richest sound, clear harmonics, not too raspy-etc.,etc). Amp and guitar wise, I'm feeding a Yamaha SG with Duncan Customs into a non-MV JTM 45 head and 2x12 cab. Any opinions on what would sound best? Thanks Chris |

I like my Brat. The switch on it is s**t but the sound is OK, a bit flat. Some say the "Fat Cat" by Ibanez is better but I donīt know Iīve never tried one. Happy hunting! A.S |

Chris, If you felt like trying to make your own, Jack Orman has a "new" RAT coming out soon that is great. In my opinion it is way better than the RAT and sounds great. I have the original big box RAT and it's good but Jack's pedal kills it. Sound file _would_ be on here but the server looks down. http://members.xoom.com/aronnelson/ Aron |
