Lest people think I was being too harsh, I notice I forgot to append a smiley.

I don't put battery compartments in my effects either (they cost money and require work to put in ;-)

The single-battery deal is a bit of a hot button with me. I think that the mental exercise of converting a dual supply circuit to run (and well!) on a single battery is stimulating - better than a good crossword, anyway.

In any case, the proof is in the listening. As you note, if it's a good distortion for $40, he's competitive.

The fellow could use some PR help, though 8-O
