Re: dull sounding fuzz face I don't know about that but I have tried this and it doesn't affect the tone so much as the aparent drive. I got it from the Technology of the Fuzz face article. |

UPDATE Re: dull sounding fuzz face I've subbed a couple of transistors and one of the 158's was crappy. The silicon were soso. Still kinda dull. One thing I have noticed is that the single pickup volume level is about 3/4 of the "in-between" positions on my strat. I have G&L pickups that may be low impedence or some thing like that. They came out of an S-500 amd were supposed to be better than the regular ones. Anybody got any clues here????????? |
