Re: sub-mini tube effects? I have a few 6021W submin tubes that are a twin med-mu triode. They have eight wires about 2" long for leads instead of pins. I am planning on trying to build a preamp with them. The data sheet I have for submin tubes shows a whole range of tube types. Most of them are low voltage ~100v. The 6247 seems to be the exception and is a 250v hi-mu, low noise voltage amp. There is also a beam pwr tube in the series -6224. To get back to Patrick's original question - has anyone constructed any audio devices out of these? Bill R. |
