Obscure EH product questions Looking through an old (1981) EH ad tonight, I was reminded of 2 products of theirs that I'd never seen in pictorial form or in person. They are the SOLID STATE REVERB and the GUITAR SYNTHESIZER. The SSR was listed for $138 in the same ad that saw the Memory Man selling for $159. The GS is *not* the same thing as the Guitar Microsynthesizer. The latter is a standard-sized EH floorbox (using the same folded steel 10-sliderpot chassis as many other EH products) that sold for under $200, while the GS is listed in the ad as "used by Steve Howe" and "on sale" for $595 (list $1495). I'm curious about: - the features of these two products (none listed in the ad) - tonal reputation or testimonies about tone - core design features such as chips, etc. |
