T.S.- 9 clipping diodes To whom it may concern. I put 2 little red leds in place of the 4148 type diodes, and man it sounds so sweet to my ears, not the fuzzy top end, and compensated the gain with a trim pot in the feedback loop as shown on one of the tube screamer mods posted. Now it sounds like a vintage tube amp overdrive. |

| Gus | Ed it has been written here may times about changing thihgs to your own taste/amp/guitar. A fun thing to try is to find a rotory multipole make before break switch and wire in different diodes same type/mismatched etc or do what Aron and others do use a socket to plug in different diodes/caps/resistors/ICs. I find I have alot of fun tuning effects to my taste. I have a fuzz circuit built with a rotory switch that friends can play to pick out the "sound" they want. |
