| anonymous | Re: Why-a-duck? Why-a-pot? How about just using LDR on the top of the box and pointing light towards it. Then just wave your foot over it to make it wah. Or tape the LDR under the strings somewhere between pickups and play some funky rythms. Everyone should try it. Experiment with the positioning of the LDR. Its fun. Not very useful when gigging though. |

Re: Why-a-duck? Why-a-pot? Forgot to write my name... Sorry... Just forgot to write my name. Bad start for me in this forum. |

| Mark Hammer | Au contraire, a wacky idea is an EXCELLENT start! (Of course, claiming to have a scan of an authentic schematic of a much sought after effect, and not leaving your name WOULD be an awkward start.) |

Well, I get a lot of wacky ideas. I also get a lot of ideas that are completely crazy. I whish I could remember them long enough to try them and sort out which ones are good and which ones are bad. I whish I had time at least to try the ones I remember. This is probably one of the bad ones: How about someting one could control with movements of ones tongue. This would need really high-tech aproach... |

Not too hard to control stuff with your tongue if you have one of those studs in it, oh wait, I think they are non-magnetic stainless steel, back to the drawingboard! Actually, an underutilised controller is the voice, if you aren't singing and have a headpiece mike, you can wail into it & have your voice drive an envelope follower and/or a pitch to voltage convertor. A force sensor you can bite on would be more realistic, though. |
