I got the Red Box (the new one) about 3 months ago and was NOT happy with it. It sounded very thin to my ears. It also arrived slightly damaged (selector switch broken off), so to be fair, perhaps the whole unit was defective.  
 
 
 
I returned it and got the Voodoo Labs CabTone, which I much prefer.  
 
 
 
The CabTone sounds better and has a few more features, so I suggest the Voodoo Labs cab simulator.
