| Gus | Re: Colorsound Wah info/schematic? A friends Colorsound sound real good to me. I thik some of the older ones are the same. Part of the cool sound is how the linkage is made a offset forked arm on the shaft of the conductive plastic pot. |

R.G., Did you get that god-awful makeshift-looking pedal/case thing that PAiA sold with their kit, or make your own? --tboy |

I was 16 at the time, and had been given a dead Apollo Wah. I gutted the case and put my wah in there. Worked... kind of. I dumped the lamp/LDR of the original in favor of the pot that was already in the case. I still have the case and wah, by the way. I found it in some boxes in the attic. Ugh! Did I really do something that ugly? |

| Gus | R.G. I do not have my old PAIA catalogs. Was it an IC or transistor based wha?? |

It was two transistors, but one was an emitter follower buffer. Otherwise it was very like the CS one. A high gain transistor stage with twin-tee feedback, and some way of adusting the gain so it didn't oscillate on its own. The resistor at the bottom of the 2-capacitor T was variable for moving the resonance. This was from the pages of Poptronics, back when dinosaurs roamed the earth. |

Dave: I can't contact you via email. All messages are returned to me with an error code. I sent you two emails in different days. As I do can receive your msgs, I could allways include a photo and some data in a web page if you like. Let me know if that is ok, and please give me a couple of days to do it. jc |
