Help! Loud hum when bridge is touched. I am rewiring a MIJ start for a friend. Nothing fancy, I changed it to one master tone (a la tele), and have a microswitch to switch the bridge PU in at anytime. There seems to be a grounding problem (loop?, cold solder?). There is a faint hum from the guitar at all times, but it gets real loud when the bridge or strings are touched. The trem claw is ground liked normal. I have the trem, jack, and PU's all ground to the volume pot. Is there a problem with that? Thanks for any help, -Y. |

Have you checked to make sure the output jack isn't wired backwards? |

| Wyatt | Thank you! Wiring was good, the jack was shot. Thanks for the advice, I double-checked and the jack was bad, a simple replacement job. -Y. |
