left hand and right hand pickups? I have 2 sets of seymore duncan alnico pro 2 pickups...one left hand and one right with staggered pole pieces. I am a right handed player and I was wondering if I put a left handed pickup in the middle position, what the effect might be. Right now the guitar sounds muddy in the 2 and 4 position with the standard configuration. I would think that because the pole pieces would be reversed with the higher ones being under the mid to high strings that the sound would be less muddy. Has anybody ever tried this before? Will the middle pickup be in a like reverse wound configuration because of it being in a right hand guitar? I could try this myself but I thought I’d ask if anyone had ever tried this. Thanks, M/J |

M/J: Call Seymour Duncan and ask for a Tech. They know the winding direction and will be able to answer your applications questions. Have the pickups with you when you call, in case they have any questions for you. Doc |

| jason | Ala Hendrix... I believe Lindy Fralin makes a pick up like that called the 69 pickup. |
