i bought a package of (5) ceramic dip .1uf (very small) caps, and also a pack of normal ceramic .1uf caps, is there a difference in their sound/performance?

Not likely. Ceramic in general is taken to sound harsh because of high dielectric absorption... of course, you may not care if your MegaBlatz SuperDistorto is putting out 150% THD.

a friend of mine actually labelled his Muff-clone
