OK heres where I show my ignorance! I have a Daddy-O that is finally sounding pretty decent after quite a bit of modification. The volume pot has one lug connected to the treble pot, one to ground and one going to a cap and a 100k resitor. Is there something that can be done to this part of the circuit that can increase the output? Thanks Blues |

You could mess with the parts values a bit, scaling the impedance up to lower the loading on the driver, or something similar. However, chances of getting a significant amount more output from the passive tone/volume controls are very slim. Remember that to produce an apparent doubling of loudness, you need 10X the voltage. To increase it significantly, you're probably going to need a gain stage, either transistor or opamp. |
