 How do guitar tuners work?
I was wondering how do guitar tuners work?  
 
Do you have some kind of oscillator generating frequencies. Like xxxHz = C or something like that and have an input voltage (guitar) hooked up to a voltage comparator?  
 
Does anybody have a schematic for something like this. I wouldn't mind trying to make one and make it rackmount.  
 
Also, Does anybody know how an E-bow works?

An Ebow electromagnetically vibrates the string without touching it. They have a web page which can be found using Yahoo, and there is more explanation available there.
