Mutron - 370 ?????
I have a Mutron Phasor on my bench and it is loaded with 370's and 371's. What are 370's? They look like tin can op-amps but I can find no data sheets. Also, is there a good cross for this 370 and 371?

I am currently working on a Mutron Bi-Phase and it is filled with RC4558, so yours must be a older model using op-amps in metal cans, I have had no luck finding those parts, they are used in old crest power-amps for sound reinforcement. I takee 1458's soldered to a project board, cut down then a solid bus wire running to the circuit board then pot it with hot glue so they wont short. good luck. Steve

Another way to replace chips where you have equal (or greater) function but not the correct pinout is to use the "dead bug" technique.
Remove the old part, clean up the holes so you have good access. Glue down the replacement to the board, upside down, with it's legs in the air (hence the name).

Then use wire wrap wire to connect the new part's pins to the old part's pinout, using a turn or two of wire on the new part's pins and solder and the wire into the board holes.
