ARP Omni 2 Keyboard Hi, I am looking for schematics for an ARP Omni 2 keyboard. I have all of it working except for a continuous high C# from the upper voicing board. I suspect a bad tantalum cap somewhere. I love this old equipment. Last project was an Altec 9944B amplifier now providing monitor channel for our bass player. Does anybody know of somebody who has schematics or service manual for this unit? Thanks, George |

Did you have any luck with the schems for ARP Omni 2 ? If not I have full manual for the plain ARP-Omni if it would help. |

George, If you have any luck, please let me know. I have a friend with two of these things--neither works right. They are giving off a weird drone note that plays behind whatever note you are playing. Also both had some broken wire contacts(you know -the ones attached to the keys that hit that long thick wire that goes across the length of the keyboard). I found a guitar string works pretty well for replacing those. I think I used a G or B-can't remember. Anyway, as I remember from playing around with one of his, they had some pretty good sounds, if you were willing to use the sliders to keep things interesting. Oh yeah, also make sure you keep a small screwdriver at ALL times, because it seemed these things had a bad habit of drifting out of tune. Thanks, Brad |
