I have a TM. I called Fender on this and they responded by saying "Put the switch where you think it sounds good". They wouldn`t confirm what the actual ratings were. I suspect however that it's 4-8-16. I have the 4x12 which was wired to 16 ohms. I also had a 2x12 which was wired to 16 ohms also. They both came this way from the factory. Pete |

I would check one speaker and see what the ohms is. because the tonemaster comes with different setups.you could have a 2,4,8ohm transformer the reisue bassman and deville have these.one 4x12 could be 8ohm hook up two cabs and have 4ohms.the 2x12 cab alone should be 4ohms, two of the 2x12 cabs would be 2ohms most all fender cabs are like this setup, there is one bassman that uses 4-32ohm load speakers to get an 8 ohm load. I hope this helps. |

Dear Norm, I recently aquired the service manual and it states that each setting is 16 ohms. The hi med low settings are for the amout of saturation that you get from the output tranformer. Matt |
