First amp building choice
I have been researching building an amps for about a month. Reading everything I have been able to find and buying some books. I have a bunch of holes in what I know. But I feel its time to put my toe in the water. Before I get discouraged.

What I am thinking is a choice between to designs. A basic Champ Circuit-prompted by the poll on Ampage. Or go for the Bassman 5F6-A design. Which in the long run will be a great testing bed for experiments. I'm thinking the Champ, will just sit on a shelf when I'm done, most likely. But would it be worth it to try or just go for the whole enchillata?

Thanks in advance

Brent, Angela instruments web page has a great
fender champ project with a helpful detailed drawing of the proper layout and parts. There is a detailed parts list and all of the items can be purchased through angela. This looks like a fun project and a great chance to build something that you could modify at a later date. I think this will be my next project!
It's worth checking out...
Have fun,Benjamin.

Why not try a plexi marshall. they are as easy to build.Find an old traynor amp.Their is not much to change and you will have a killer amp when its done.you can find these very cheap. or look for an old sunn amp.these are easy to find and have alot of good parts in them that you won't have to buy.Hope this helps you!
