mic pre's and such I'm starting to put together a diy recording equipment page.I'm looking for schematics for mic pre's /compressers/eq/and such.I have neve mic pre but no eq schematic yet.I have several burr brown and analog devices circut's,I'm looking for more discete circuts.I'm starting with mic pre's because for most they would be a less ambitious undertaking!I would appreciate any and all input thak you. |

the essence of mic preamps is balancing the inputs... this is much more easily done at a wafer level.. I do not think it is possible to match the better Analog Devices chips with a discrete design, at least for a preamp. |

I agree cmrr is almost always better with high quality monolithic design's although transformer's are nice for that too. I guess I meant to say, looking for disrete design's as I already have many monolithic circuit's although all quality design's are welcome.I am looking specifictly for old API,neve, focusrite, calrec, rca, western electric,ect....tube or solid state and monolithic all classic or modern design's of quality.Thank you for your response as it has been diffucult getting any response to this subject on these pages.. |

I got my neve schematic from that site, there is also some cool links, like the supersonic site where I got lots of telefunken schematics and there's also a site called singularity that has more neve info plus some other cool stuff.Balanced line receiver + 60db of gain + balanced line driver that's all you need there has to be a million way's to do this.Where are they? Come on guy's & gals give em up!......oh yeah don't forget the 48 volt supplies there has to be a million way's to get that too! |
