A/B Switch and LED Simple question... What is the easiest way to attach an LED to an A/B switch to determine which jack is hot? |
|---|---|
| R.G. | Use a DPDT switch and use the extra pole to work the LED's. Ground the pole and use a different LED/resistor to a battery on each throw. |

R.G. I just read another post here that suggested using the second pole of the DPDT switch to ground out the unused tap to prevent the sound from bleeding through. (That would be when you are using the A/B to switch a single input between 2 amps or 2 amp channels, as opposed to using it to select between 2 guitars and a single amp/channel.) Do they make a 3PDT or 4PDT full-sized push switch for footpedals? Steve Ahola |

There is a project at DMZ for a Transparent A/B switchbox that uses the DPDT. Check it out. regards, Jack |

| Hi |
I know somebody is making 3PDT switches, because I've seen them in a catalog recently. Unfortunately, I have a million catalogs, and of course I can't find this one. I know Fulltone is using them, so he must have some source. Hi |

| Hi |
OK, I really can't find the catalog. I'll probably be visiting a friend this weekend who will almost certainly be able to find such a thing, make such a thing, or put me in touch with a mutual friend (whose address etc. I've lost while moving) who definitely can get or make them. I'll report back when I know more, or when my brain returns. Hi |
