Power handling ability of Jensen P-series? I just bought a P12R and a P15Q. I have been playing a 65 Pro with a C12NA (at GC), it gets plenty loud on what I presume is a 40 watt amp. I know the speakers get progressively less heavy duty with the Q and the R. I'm going to get a cabinet built for 12" and one for 15", which can be sealed or open. If I use an AB763 head, will these speakers handle the 40 watts (one speaker at a time only). If not how much can they take? A Deluxe? Thanks for any help. Jim |

| Keith | I`ve been wondering the same thing, I have a bassman head and a 2-12 cabinet with 2 C12N Jensen speakers in it. The speakers are mint but their 31yr old and the bassman head has alot of power. |

| Paul Markwalter | According to the 1959 Walter Ashe electronics catalog; P12-R.....6.8 oz. magnet,14 watts. Price $10.20.......Gone up a little haven't they? |

Thanks much. That is similar to the ratings for the WeberVST. Weber P12R, P12Q, and P12N are 15, 20, and 25 I think. So maybe the other numbers are close to correct too. Do you have the specs for the P12N and P15Q? Jim |

| Paul Markwalter | In my old catalogs the 12" and 15" Jensens have about the same power rating. IE: P12-R same as P15-R. The C12-N was used in the mid '60s Twins so they gotta be about 30-40 watts. Incidently, the C12-N is my fave spkr for Dlx. Revs. |

Not the P12N? Why the C instead of the P? Thanks, Jim |
