HelP : RIGHT Part for DR project?
Hi...
I'm planning to build Deluxe Reverb .
I live in South Korea
I can't see any DR in Here..
So I made up my mind...
I'll build it!
But I need many advice...
help me..

first I must choose RIGHT part.

1 Cabinet , Baffle Material,thick,measure
2 Speaker
3 Capacitor
4 Register
5 Output Transformer (I'll buy PT in here , Korea)

Yes... I know Theres will be many many answer for my question.
But your opinion will be big help to me.

I builded 1987 plexi few month ago using
xicon Carbon Composition Resistor and
Sprague 715P cap .. sound ? (:

I already have Reverb trans and reverb tank.

As far as the cab goes: The originals were made out of 1/2" pine. Mine measures 24" (w) x 16.75" (h) x 7.75" (d). The baffles in all the DR's I've seen (including a BF) were made out of particle board. Mine is 3/8" thick.

Speaker: Most of the DR's I've seen have a 12" ceramic speaker in them. IMO, at least for DR's, the blackface sound is a ceramic speaker. The weberVST C12Q is a really good choice, but speakers are a matter of taste.

Caps: The 715 ODs seem like a good choice, if that's what you've got available. Use sprage Atoms for the electrolytics.

Register? Don't know what that is... Maybe you mean resistors? The carbon comps you used are a good choice.

Output Transformer: Mojotone makes one that's BF specs. Fender also sells reissues. Doug Hoffman also makes custom OTs.

I have 1965 DR here that's made out of 3/4" pine. Also, (not sure how to explain this), the depth on the bottom of the cabinet is about 9.5". The depth just below the chassis is about 8.5". The depth on top of the chassis is about 7.75". I hope that makes sense.
