Rob W.	Try out either a reissue Fender transformer, or one of Doug Hoffman's transformers!     Both available at http://www.hoffmanamps.com     Doug runs a very good business, and his prices are quite good.     Rob W.

Nick Dolling	I bought one for my deluxe project from Ned Carlson (Triode Electronics). It was called a TF110, and I believe it was also suitable for a DR. Ned's price was as good as anyone's (if not better) and he shipped it straight away - I got it less than 10 days later (in Australia).     I'm happy!     Nick

Ned Carlson	Yeah, they're $29.95 each.     I guess he *could* use a Magnequest Z-565, but they're just a hair more pricey (like $99)..OTOH, it might be interesting to see what a DR clone would sound like with a *really* nice transformer on it. I've heard of people retrofitting Bassman transformers to replace the smaller ones on beater Bandmasters,and I've also heard this does make an audible difference.
