Re: Cap Voltage Ratings Hi Wink, Caps that are 40 years old were, more than likely, of the "wax/paper" construction. During the last 40 years, new dielectics have been discovered that allow the same amount of capacitance in a smaller form factor. This is why the ATOM's are smaller than the ELNA's. The thing you need to be concerned about is the rated voltage. If a replacement cap is rated the same as the old one, you're in business! Later, Dave James James Music Products |
