Re: Homebrew I just used the same amp to build a sort of a dumblish fender. It's not done yet but it sounds interesting. I built the reverb channel of a super and used sovtek 6L6gb's. Several component values were changed just to experiment- .022uf instead of .1 & .047 in the tone circuit and other such changes.I inserted a master volume in between the mixer and the phase inverter. (10k ohm res. drivin a 1m pot driving another resistor and .1uf cap on the grid of the phase inverter.) I used a lot of junk parts and it needs new PS caps but it has alot of tonal variety and pretty decent overdrive tone. The reverb ot is from a zenith radio ot and a radio shack 12.6 volt tf helps with fils on two of the tubes. Let me know how it turns out when you get your project running. |
