| Derrick | ware to find 6SJ7 I have an old Gibson GA-30 fron late 50's (?) that needs two 6SJ7 tubes. Does anyone know were to find them, or a good substitution for them? Thanks -Derrick |

The 6SJ7 is an octal-based tube with a black metal envelope. It's a sharp-cutoff pentode, and there really isn't a plug-in substitute. There are plenty of them still around, and not expensive. Try websites for Triode Electronics, Angela Instruments, and Antique Electronic supply. Some, or all, of these have links in the AMPAGE Resource or Suppliers section. Doc |

Derrick, Likely at Antique Electronic Supply... http://WWW.tubesandmore.com/ or maybe Angela Instruments... http://www.angela.com or "Uncle Ned's place" ... http://www.triodeel.com/index.htm (or in a large box out in my workshed, but try AES, Angela or Ned first ... Whit |
