| Joe | Re: Electric Mandolin Pickup (again) That is one half of a bass pickup. I forget whether it was the fender jazz or fender precision that used this format. I can't identify the make, but I built a solid body mandolin and used a mity-mite bass pickup, which was split, i.e. 4 poles on each half. It was meant to be staggered under the bass strings, but it made two nice mandolin pickups. I used it as two single coils, at the neck and bridge positions, and put in a phase reverse switch for when both pickups were used. Hope this helps. |
