Alnico 5 magnetised through complete length?

MK	Alnico 5 magnetised through complete length? Hi, I've discussed buying some magnets for a Fender JB and MM type bass pickups with some companies. One question I was asked was whether I would like them magnetised through the complete length (eg. 19mm). I would think yes, but my knowledge of magnets is limited. Are there magnets used in pickup design that are not magnetised this way? Regards, Michael
