MKB | Re: How hot is too hot for magnet wire? Man, I hate those Radio Shack irons, totally useless. I have one standing order I give to techs I manage, if you use any Radio Shack equipment you are immediately fired. I have tried to solder #44 with my Weller temp control iron, it sometimes evaporates the end of the wire if I hold the iron on it too long. Very strange and aggravating. This is with 800 degree tips, need to get some 600 or 700 degree tips for the pickup work. |
