Andy: thanks for the heads up. Are you guys all saying that alnico that tarnishes quickly will also degauss quickly? I don't think tarnished bar magnets or ones that chip when grinding would actually be an issue for P90s or humbuckers. Unfortunately the Chinese company bar magnets are about a buck apiece by the time EMS gets them to my door. AllStar is cheaper than that and if there are quality issues then I'll go with AllStar. Though some of their magnets seem to not have been charged correctly. Parts, parts parts, thats the bitch in this field...
