I was hoping mine would be better, and this wasn't the case. I also feel that I am started a kind of "reverse engineering" process that seems acceptable with a 50s fender pup, but not with current models. Seems like a short cut, not paying my dues. Does anyone have any views on reverse engineering - is it copying? is it respectful? is it stealing someone's mojo? is it the nature of progress? have you done it? Post anonymously if you like.
