When there is one person, or 100 in town doing it it might work. But what about 1,000.. or 10,000. I don't disagree it would help, but I don't see it being able to solve the whole problem and rather than solve the problem piecemeal my personal preference is to solve it with a single comprehensive approach. Whatever replaces gasoline will need a national infrastructure - stations to provide fuel, repair shops to service, etc. It's a big deal. Multiple fuels could mean duplicating much of that infrastructure which at least at first glance seems wasteful. jm2c
