In an accident I think I'd rather have H2 around than some of the really nasty stuff that winds up in advanced batteries. A fender bender than becomes a toxic cleanup job.. and cars that are 500+ lbs overweight. (harder to stop in the first place, harder on tires and harder on roads) Diesels don't solve the first problem of getting oil out of the equation. I want OPEC out of my life. Don't you? 50% out of my life would be a good start, kind of like that '500 lawyers at the bottom of the ocean' joke.
