| nabisko | need wiring diagram, 2 single coils. i just bought a daimaru guitar on ebay- http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7345377541&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1 the pickups appear to be single coil, one heavy green lead and two really thin black and red leads. the black and red are super thin, thinner than telephone wiring. i'm just going to assume the green is a ground. the pots are volume/volume/tone. i want to wire it volume/tone/tone (i think, please correct me if this is a bad idea) i remember seeing a diagram for doing this, but now i can't find it. if you look at the listing, you'll notice two switches. they're spdt, i'm going to wire one of them for switching between two different values of tone cap and i want to replace the other with a sp3t to switch pickups. a few years ago, i could have figured out a wiring scheme in my head, but it's been a while since i've had to do this. all i need is a link to a diagram to wire for volume/tone/tone for two single coils. i'll figure the switching out. also, has anyone ever seen fretwire that was flat on top? i don't mean rounded wire with a flat top, i mean this stuff is square. it's like someone installed huge jumbo frets and filed them down almost level with the fretboard... she plays good, though. |
