JasonRe: 1966 Super Reverb...harsh/brittle
So i fixed the fuse problem. The Tone is getting better, however it breaks up too early and ther isn't much clarity or not separation at higher volumes. I just acquired a professional bootleg version of JOhn Mayer playing two rock amps at his Webster Hall Show in late December. He covered mostly blues and did a lot of SRV and Hendrix, he nailed empty arms and machine gun! I wanna get my super to get more of that full, round, warm, glassy, tight tone! I know i have ceramics but I was thinking about putting two ceramics and two alnico's via Webers and order 7581's hoping for more headroom. Any other suggestions as far as values etc go to get more chime and tone? Thans
