Sometimes alot of the fender amps can sound very high endy and sterile if there is a bad bypass cap in the reverb channel. usually it causes the high pitch whistle sound..but sometimes it just sterilizes the amps tone. You could do alot of changing of tubes to speakers and still have the problem if the cap is bad and not changed..
