| Robert | Rreverberocket II trouble Hey all, I have a 60s Ampeg Reverberocket II that gave off some smoke before blowing the fuse. I replaced the fuse and it worked fine for a good 10 minutes, but when I turned the amp up loud, the volume faltered and it started smoking again...so I shut it off and visually inspected it...everything looked fine. Turned it on again....fine...played it a little...fine...turned it up again, and I saw and heard a spark and smoke from the output transformer and then the fuse went again. So now I'm thinking I should get a new set of power tubes, but should I also assume that the OT is shot and get a replacement. Any thoughts? |
