Albert Kreuzer	EL34 in Super Twin without socket mod!!! Aargh! Somebody stuck them EL34 in without modding the tube sockets! They must have glowed heavily, taking out the rectifier diodes (which successfully protected the mains fuse from blowing...) Tubes and transformers survived. The doghouse is a mess from burnt diodes and wires and a previous (horrible) attempt of a cap job. Question: What exactly does happen to the power tubes in such a case? I mean, the suppressor grid is tied to g1 via the grid stopper, getting bias and input signal. Suppressor grid modulation? The owner says he got it that way and it must have worked before...
