| pete | Re: hot tubes, I mean really hot Hi all, So everything was ok. I went away for a couple of weeks, and when I got back, the amp was screwed up. I have a ground lift switch where the circuit ground is connected to chassis directly, or via 51 ohm and 10 nano cap in series. When the switch is in the position throught the res/cap, I get hum and sqeal. In the other position, its ok. In either case when I power off the amp, I hear the ocean. I get white noise which lasts for about 3 seconds and sounds like a wave. Possibly capacitor discharge? If anyone has any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated. -Pete |
