Enzo: thanks for your idea...I actually put a couple of lamps up close and heated the board for a couple hours, that and the A/C crankrd in my shop have made a word of difference. The board to ground at the preamp end measures next to 0 volts..down at the PI end I'm getting almost 2 volts. yesterday it was nearly 6 volts. I thought my Fluke was flakin' out on me at first. another day in the A/C and a bit of the hairdryer (no heat gun ) should bring this amp back to it's former tone, for now anyway. Marc
