| Peter | Re: How to hook a Hammond organ reverb amp/tank to an amp That schematic looks like it for a slightly different version than you've got: in the schematic the reverb amp gets its power from the power supply for the main amp, whereas YOUR reverb amp has its own built in power supply. So in the diagram, there's only ONE wire to the main speaker, because it gets its ground return via the power supply connection. In your case you need both wires to the speaker, except possibly there's already a connection there via the power line ground. That switch on the schematic appears to be labelled REVERB I and REVERB II, and I think all it does is connect the reverb speaker to the amp via different resistors, so that you can set different amounts of reverb (none, I, II, or both)... controlling the signal to the speaker is a funny way to do it, and for your purposes it's probably better to control the signal going from the reverb tank into the amplifier by replacing R7 (1M) on the reverb amp schematic with a 1M log pot. You could instead control the signal from you amp to the reverb unit, but that way is a little noisier, due to the fact that you'd be turning down the Drive to the tank, but still having full gain amplification of its (somewhat noisy) output. |
