Cap voltage ratings high enough?
Hi.
My old valve 'scope blew up the other day, and I salvaged some caps from it. In particular, there are 2 very nice Plessey cans with nice orange-red anodising (they look *gorgeous*). I'm looking at using them in an 18-watt Lite. However, they're only rated at 275V (350V "surge" rated) and they are over 40 years old. The B+ in the 18 watter is about 250V (which I suppose I could drop to 230 or 240V). Am I sailing too close to the wind with 275V caps in a 250V supply?

thanks for any advice
