EZ math for PT requirement

| Brad | EZ math for PT requirement Is there some easy math on figuring what mA's one needs to support an amp? like when selecting a PT for a given amp. I know the EZ math for ballparking the B+ (Vac x 1.414= B+) but was wondering how one figures out how big a PT one needs. I'm talking about an average 3-12AX7, 2-6L6 topology or like a Marshall Plexi type thing. I know how to figure the heater amperage requirements. |
