screen to plate Voltage differential

| john | screen to plate Voltage differential when considering a power supply, what sort voltage difference to you want between the plate voltage and screen voltage? in my homebrew dual 6V6 amp, i have a difference of about 12V (plate = 360, screen = 348). i see other guys that have like a 40V difference. i do not have a solid grasp how pentodes work yet and am trying to learn. anyone care to shed some light on this for me? thanks, john |
