MK	Re: Anyone ever try an EL84 gain stage? I tried EL84 as second gain stage too. All of EL84 I tried (about 10) was much too microfonic for this aplication. Sound was ok, but since too high level of microfonicy (is that real word?) make them useless I change it back to EF86. Values in O´connors book worked fine. Might be that sound was little more "fatter" than with EF86...     Mikko
