I'm still wondering why I didn't get an open circuit hum, when turning up the volume with nothing plugged into it though. As for the 1meg resistor, I didn't realize that it was in the circuit when using the 'high' input. Now I think about it, it didn't matter which input I plugged into on the '54 Deluxe I used to own. On it though, there was no resistors on the mic input, only on the inst inputs. On Marshall style amps I've built, the 1 meg was only over the 'low' input, with no hum problems. Greg |
