The Normal channel is dark with the Gibson's, but its quite reasonable with the Tele. Remember - Leo had a preference for his guitars But the main thing for me is that I don't use the normal channel - I use the bright channel, and just adjust the normal volume (due to the interactive nature of the amp) to moderate the tone I am getting from the bright channel.
