Thorny | Re: Speaker's in 5E3 Why not a G12H30? Why are you looking for something else if you really like it? I borrowed 2 G12H30s for my 5E3x2 and they sound killer. If you like the G12H30 then use it. I am really interested in hearing my weber signature alnicos when they get here. But I am afraid these G12Hs are spoiling me and I won't let my friend have his speakers back. If you are concerned about the cost of a G12H, then find a good one on ebay. TopHat club deluxe amps (very close to a 5E3) sometimes use celestion greenbacks, and they sound GREAT. There are a lot of ways to get this done. I have had good luck with Celestion silver series V12 speakers too - I think they had a 60 or 65w model that I used and it sounded great. Weber has a MANY great speakers too - including a speaker modeled off the G12H30 (have not tried that one). |
