New 5E3 (to me) Dumb Questions ...

Dale | New 5E3 (to me) Dumb Questions ... I have searched the forum but can't seem to locate the answers to these (I suck at searches I guess). I have a 5E3 homebuilt arriving in a few days. I will build it into a head and intend to use it with my closed back 2x12 running V'30's. I have an open back with Jensen C12 reissue. I also have a Tweed Champ 1x12 adaption built from an old Gretsch 6150. This is intended to be the 1x12's big brother. 1.) I have read the volumes are interactive on these amps, what does that mean and how are people using them? 2.) How does the channel jumping impact these issues? 3.) I have read the tone control is not a typical tone control on these. How does it work then? 4.) Is there anything I need to be aware of with this amp that a rookie with it should know (like where to start with settings for buckers and singles)? |
